What is it.

Cleanpol Green utilises Natureworks LLC as its base resin, a fully biodegradable plastic derived from agricultural crops and as such is a completely renewable resource. It is made in a process similar to making yoghurt with resulting material being Poly Lactic Acid , PLA. This is then formulated into different grades of resins all of which maintain the characteristics of the base resin, compostability , degradability. And being 100% recyclable.

Uses

Cleanpol Green can be used in a variety of situations including packaging and agriculture. In fact it can utilised in nearly all aspects of plastic manufacture including , injection moulding, extrusion moulding , blow moulding , bag and film production. Cleanpol Green is at the forefront in the production of a resin which will be suitable for use in hot foods and drinks including being able to be used in microwave cooking.

Features

Cleanpol Green exhibits high tensile strength while being 20 to 30 % thinner than comparable PET type plastics in similar use. Production temperatures are much lower than PET and P/S plastics therefore the energy use is less.
Constant production is possible due to the use of an annually renewable resource - Corn.
Compostable.
